I drew an orca in oil pastel. First time drawing one and I think I learned a lot, so felt like sharing.

I’ve shared a couple drafts of this but I’m finally done. Sealed and ready to gift. Paul Ruben pastels on wood. The painting itself is 10x14”. I had a lot of fun layering, building texture, and feel like I leveled up a bit.

Need advice on how to create the illusion of light with oil pastels… I get nervous putting dark colors next to light ones. I think I’m going to muddy them up.
