Looking for Advice on Building a New Company Website - Squarespace, Webflow, or Something Else?

I’m a Product Marketing Manager and work at software company, and we’re in a bit of a dilemma regarding our company website. Currently, our main site (simpleway.global) is a bit old-school—it was custom-developed by a provider who’s no longer communicating with us, which has made it almost impossible to make changes.
We also have four separate product websites, each targeting specific groups:
- Digital signage and voice announcements for Airports: airport.cx
- General digital signage/announcements for companies, hospitals, etc.: nterprise.cx
- Ground transportation version: transit.cx
- Professional audio products: nnounce.com
These four sites are built on Squarespace. If you take a look, it’s probably clear we started with airport.cx (which now feels outdated and really needs an upgrade) and ended with nnounce.com and transit.cx, which are much better.
Now, we’re planning to build a new company website, but we’re on a tight budget and don’t want to hire a developer to create something from scratch. Since we know our way around Squarespace, we’re considering using it again. However, we’re also aware of its limitations—slow loading speeds, subpar responsive design, and limited mobile/tablet customization.
We’re also considering more advanced options like Webflow, but we’re hesitant because we don’t have experience with it and are worried it could take a long time to get it right. I have basic/mid-level experience with Figma, so the integration could be great value. Have a graphic designer next to me - with basic figma/webflow experience. The developers in our company need to focus on our software but could help for a few hours if needed.
Given that we are a software company, the website needs to look professional and modern, unlike the usual “cheap” feel of many Squarespace sites. At the same time, we don’t want to spend a year building it out on Webflow or another complex platform.
What would you recommend? Should we stick with Squarespace, explore Webflow, or consider another platform? Any insights on balancing ease of use with professional design would be greatly appreciated!
