Season 3 was depressing and boring

I wanted to enjoy season 3. I loved the first two. But the third one just made me depressed. The aging of the characters just reminded me of mortality and decay. The pacing was super slow and the plot just seemed kind of sad. Most of the characters didn't seem very happy in life. It's like they failed.

I honestly had more fun watching YouTube analyses trying to make sense of the show than the show itself.

Don't mean to offend anyone. It was still an interesting experience. I enjoyed the weird headscratchers and metaphorical stuff. I liked seeing the characters return. But they were so much older and everything was run down. Just depressed me.
