Help finding custom needles

I have a Domestic model 4 sewing machine and would LOVE to get needles for it. I was going to see if someone could not handle modern needles for me, but modern needles are too short (in addition to having a weird notch on top). They stopped making the actual needles in the 1940s or 50s I think; i know there are no big-name manufacturers anymore.

Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere I could get custom machine needles? Or that could make some kind of adapter?
