Which skills are necessary to learn in professional workforce environment ?

I’m trying to get education so I can find a better job but after realizing so many people in professional job environment have strong people skills , problem-solving skills, tech skills and generally know alot about their role in the company. They know how to offer or sell their services. I never really experienced professional jobs but working in fast food and retail didn’t teach me much skills. It’s like your assigned a certain postion and keep doing repetitive work without thinking too much. I didn’t really gain any valuable skills or the networking power to upskill.
