Question about the Rain (Spoilers ahead!)
I've recently been thinking about Rain World and its titular threat...
... and I've realized it doesn't feel the same way anymore, now that I know what is its source. Before then, Rain felt like some mysterious, lethal phenomenon specific to this planet. I was afraid of it and yet left in awe, would spend my remaining time of the cycle to see the screen shake and hear the thunder before I quickly hide in the Shelter.
However, now knowing that it's not really rain, but FP flushing the water... it feels different. Like, I almost wish it wasn't an Iterator that was the reason behind it - I would have preferred the Rain to be peculiar weather that occurs in Rain World, a force of nature that is difficult to explain.
That's not to say I wouldn't want the Iterators to stay in Rain World, not at all. I just feel like FP being the reason behind the Rain caused this threat to lose something to it that I can't name. The world also shrunk, sometimes I miss that first time I set out to look for food and was exploring the abandoned world, enjoying the short minutes of peace before an another Downpour.
Does/Did anyone else feel that way about it, or perhaps about another element of the game?
