How to avoid bank charges when funding my interactive brokers account from Qatar

Sent 1000 USD yesterday from QNB to IBKR and got charged 15QR for qnb and only received 978 USD! That's a 22USD hidden intermediary bank charge fee + 15QR for qnb.

I moved to IBKR as my broker instead of CBQ international broker and I shouldn't have as I was only paying a 10USD commission fee for any buy/sell. I also heard that QNB has IBKR as their broker, is it good? What are the fees like for transferring money to their ibkr?
