Asking for letter of recommendation over text? lmao

Sent an email request to to my former supervisor at a clinical job, it bounced because she is apparently no longer with the company and so her company email doesn't work anymore.

I do have her personal phone number, but... what do I say? My email request is pretty standard but obviously way too long to be a text. Do I send her a text with just the request? Do I call her?

Not sure what to do because I don't want to randomly call her from an unknown number after 2 years since I left my job, I feel like spontaneous calls like that could be inconsiderate. But I also don't want to just send her a tert text like "Hey I worked at this company 2 years ago, pls write me a rec" or write multiple paragraphs over text either.

What's the best approach to this?
