Hard-sided suitcases after years of travel (post pics!)

Supposedly the biggest disadvantage of hard-sided luggage (polycarbonate or aluminium) is how it ages. I'm deciding on it, but it's been surprisingly hard to find pics of how it looks after a while. If you have one and are up for it, post one?
