20 week update - slow and steady

I wanted to share this for all the slower losers out there. I am getting towards the end of week 20 and it's been a journey! Mostly a psychological one. I have even posted on here asking for help because I felt stuck. And yet, I was wrong. I am just a slower loser than many of you - and I've realised that's OK.

I am 5'4 and started at 202 lbs (91.5Kg)

I lost the most weight in the first 2 months on 2.5mg. I finally went up to 5mg in January as my weight loss had slowed. But now I wonder if it was necessary as the losses continue to be slow on 5mg.

That said, I am down 25lbs (11.4kg) since starting in October. Clothes fit me better and I am no longer breathless going up even a small slope. I live in the countryside and I now happily tramp up and down hills.

I was a size 16 but I recently bought some size 12 jumpers on Vinted and they fit!

Just today I realised that, even though my losses are slower than many, I am now the same weight I was at the start of the pandemic in 2020. That means I have lost 4 years worth of weight gain in 5 months.

This has really put things into perspective for me. The last 4 years have been emotionally very difficult and my weight gain was due to emotional eating and too much wine in the evenings. Neither are an issue any longer. This drug is a miracle!

I just want to encourage those who lose at a slower rate - it's really not all that slow when you think how long it took us to gain that weight!

Onwards and downwards!
