Jacket and pants question

Hey everyone, I just got my first bike and am planning to a take a riding course towards the middle of January. I have been looking at some riding jackets and pants. For the most part I will be sticking to backroads street driving and staying under 60 mph, definitely no interstate driving - I don’t think my bike would even go that fast lmao. Would these be suitable for that?
