To all the new MS1s, how was your first semester of med school?
Just finished my first semester of med school and wow does it feel like a lot
Overall thoughts:
I knew med school was going to be tough, but I did not expect it to be this tough. Maybe it's because I was so hyperfixated on getting accepted that I never truly spent time thinking about what med school would actually be like?
The amount of sheer studying and volume of information I have had to learn has been absolutely insane. At the start of the semester I was not sure how I would process all of it, but I somehow did, so I'm very proud of myself.
Despite how difficult the transition from undergrad to medical school was I feel like i've levelled up academically (which I frankly didnt think was even possible at this stage of life).
Hope to keep the momentum going into second semester!
