Does Spiderman Deserve a Buff?
In my opinion, Spiderman deserves a buff. Don't be mad at me, read my reasons first. Spiderman is a melee character who engages in close-quarter combat---he is the only melee character who has 250 health and no way to increase his health (outside of ultimates).
Iron fist starts with 250 health and can increase it's health to and over 300. Magic and Phylock can also get bonus health on top of their 250.
While it's true that Spiderman has really good mobility, it wouldn't matter if he dies too quickly or doesn't do enough damage. Spiderman preys on strategists and duelists who are out of position and away from their team, but that almost never happens in higher ranks, making Spiderman useless. That is also why there are barely any high-ranked Spidermans out there.
I think Spiderman should be buffed in certain ways.
- Make his E (Get over here) Pull-himself-at-someone do a brief stun (0.5 to 0.8 seconds), it makes his attack more of a threat instead of just annoying. His E ability already has a way too long cooldown, making Spiderman almost useless for 8 whole seconds of a battle
- Increase health by 25, make it 275. A small change.
- Decrease sticky (web shooter) cooldown. It is currently 2 seconds to recharge a charge of web shot (Spiderman has 5 web charges in total), that is way to long. Decrease it to 1.5 or 1 second would help drastically, decreasing the need for Spiderman to become absolutely useless for 2-4 whole seconds if he runs out of web fluid. This would increase the amount of time Spiderman is engaged in the battle.
- Make climbing and wall running less clunky in general
These changes would buff Spiderman to be a formidable enemy without being stupidly overpowered. He would still be a difficult character to play and these tweaks shouldn't change his playstyle. So please make these changes, it would make Spiderman a viable character to play.
