Would you be team button?

I’m on a rewatch and I’m trying to put myself in that situation. You’re on a deserted island, find a bunker with a mysterious man inside, and he tells you to push a button every 108 minutes to save the world.

Of course, “the last time I saw a computer that saves the world, I’d didn’t look like that”.

Me personally, I would have a hard time believing that it was actually doing anything of value. That being said, I ultimately would have been team pro button pushing. The hatch is shelter, has food and water, utilities, etc. The alarm every 108 minutes seems like a minor trade off when you have 40 people who could take shifts to put in a code to make it shut up.

To be honest, I find it crazy that most of the survivors didn’t even seem to care that the hatch imploded.
