Realistically, -that- relationship is cooked after chapter 1483 right?

I don't know how high my expectations should for Morikawa when it comes to writing romance/relationships but Ippo/Kumi should be done after this chapter.

Kumi has never liked boxing, she tolerated it because it put food on the table and put her through school.

She hated that her brother kept boxing after she was able to start her career.

She hates Ippo's love for it and has actively tried to persuade him out of it forever.

She never wanted to go to matches.

She ends up going to a match and her brother is critically injured.

No matter how you slice it, Boxing is in Ippo's blood, whether he's actively training, or a second, or decides to return to the ring, there's no realistic scenario where a girl like that would be like "Yeah I'll still support you, and watch you do this to yourself and train other people to do it to themselves." after an event like this involving her brother, her only remaining living family.

I've seen people cut ties for less irl, so I'm super curious how Mori writes this going forward. I don't know many manga where the MC actually loses his long standing love interest after this many chapters, but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if she exited after this. That said it's also still a manga, so it might look for the best in people and she 180s on her views or maybe reluctantly sticks around and supports Ippo still despite everything we know.
