Empty bullet casings in flight luggage

Hi there,

Does anyone here know if it is allowed to carry empty bullet casings in your checked luggage? As far as I can tell, it is no problem in the U.S., but I'm traveling from South Africa via Munich to Amsterdam and was wondering if it is different in Europe.
