Spire of the Watcher has terrible thematic design

Before I make my points, I am going to say this up front: THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM ON GAMEPLAY/DUNGEON MECHANICS

For those unaware, Bungie decided to go with the Wild West theme for Spire of the Watcher. This is pretty evident from the fact the it takes place on an arid location, a blatant tumbleweed (that can kill you), TM armors, and a lever-action rifle.

However, something must have gone really wrong mid-development, and we ended up with a dungeon that completely lost the theme by the end. There is nothing Wild West about the Persys arena other than the fact that it takes place in a "pillory" bunker.

Honestly, even I don't know how I am supposed to blend in Wild West theme with the Vex and Warmind facility. I dunno, maybe Persys should've shown up riding a Vex horse or something. Or the final boss taking place on a BrayTech tram might have made more sense than a nuclear reactor chamber.

Bungie has done a decent job with other dungeons though. The best examples being Duality, which was themed after Event Horizon, and Warlord's Ruin, which was themed after D&D + classic RPG games. It's a shame that they went with a theme that would not blend well and end up shedding the whole thing by the end.
