What's the fastest you've ever gone on a bicycle, and how did you do it?

My personal best that I know of is 24 miles an hour, going down a hill is pretty fun, but I had no protective gear, so there's that probably not gonna do that again. Edit: I don't know how some of you are hitting 40 to 80 miles an hour that's crazy edit 2: i maneged to hit 25mph today
