In desperate need of advice

Tldr; need a new camera for professional and personal work. For specific work that required really high-end quality I will just rent a camera. Budget for the body is max 3K. I rarely shoot above 60fps, always shoot 4K, need 4.2.2 10 bit, have a camera for photos so photo-capabilities are not very important.

I currently own a Fuji X-T2, some nice Fuji glass, and an old X-E1. I want to invest in a camera and lenses that are going to be good for 80% of the work I do, for specialized work I always rent.

I have always rented a camera and lens(es) for the day of the gig. So far I’ve always gone for a Sony FX3 or A7Siii. Not because I really needed the qualities of the FX3, but rather because when renting, the price difference between, for example, an A7IV and an FX3 are very small, at which point I prefer to go for “overkill” and better be safe than sorry.

I shoot events, commercial videos for businesses, and I shoot ‘cinematic’ shorts about very mundane moments. The last one, for reference, you can compare to Gawx (not saying it’s the same level) - mostly static shots or slow movement, working with composition and lighting rather than fast movements or ‘interesting’ subjects.

Now I want to buy a new camera for my business, but I genuinely don’t have the budget for an FX3 considering I also want to get some Sony GM or Sigma Art lenses, or cinema lenses, cause I do think the glass is more important.

My budget for the body is anything between 2 and 3K. 3K really being the far limit. I know a lot of advice ends with: you need to decide what you need for your work and buy that. The problem is that I truly don’t know what I need, because I tend to just want the best of the best, but do I need it? Idk. Human nature maybe?
