The Bullet Chess Championship 2023 (BCC) is Chess.com's most elite bullet chess event and part of the Speed Chess Championship series. The event's qualifiers happen on July 6 and 7, with the main event occurring on July 17 through 21. The fastest players in the world compete for their share of the $100,000 prize fund and a spot in the Speed Chess Championship's main event.

Hikaru Nakamura, on account of being undefeated so far, has an extra life ie, Magnus will need to win 2 matches against him to become the champion.
Format and time controls
The event is a 16-player double-elimination knockout. Matches consist of 30 minutes (or 45 minutes for the Winners semis and finals) of 1+0 bullet chess. To win a match, a player must have a 2-point lead at the end. If they don’t, the match continues for up to six more games. If a player still doesn’t have a 2-point lead, the leader wins, or, if tied, the next player to win a game wins.
