Cheat day
I've been doing Carnivore now for one month. I'm down 16 pounds and the best part is I'm redefining my relationship with food. I'm not binge eating in the evenings. I'm not even considering fast food. I'm not constantly craving just a little sugar kick after meals.
But I truly miss 'normal' food. And the hardest times to keep this up is when we go over to someone's house and they have a whole spread and I'm praying they have a charcuterie board so I can just nibble on some meat and cheese. That kills me.
Sunday is the Superbowl. And I really want to just enjoy the game/day and for just one day, I want to eat normal. I don't want to binge or anything, but I just want to be able to enjoy the spread like everybody else and not be constantly thinking about how can I make it work with the food that's there, and NOT have to deal with explaining why I'm not partaking like everybody else. I've done that plenty of times, but I just don't want THAT to be the way I spend my day.
So my question is.... do you ever give yourself a 'cheat' day? Throw it to the wind, eat normal, and then get back on track the next day? If so, how hard was it to get back on the train? Did it throw your system off? Did you have any issues? Appreciate any advice or feedback as I'm normally an 'all or nothing' kind of guy.
