Questions before buying

I love Roguelikes/lites and I recently found Barony, it looks kinda cool but I have a few questions before buying, just to know if it's up my alley.

1. Is this game completely worth and playable solo?
2. Is there potential to have a god run? Something about this just hits my serotonin different
3. If the answer to question 2 is yes, are there good synergies? (if possible compared to Isaac)
4. Is saving mid run an option? Also how long are the runes usually?
5. Anything else interesting to know?
