Do you guys feel like autism makes you have higher standards or lower standards in dating?
Personally I feel like my standards are "higher" than others. Though in areas I don't think most people would assume. Anyone relate to this?
Edit: So, I feel seen. Here are my "high standards", you may skip this if you'd like.
I don't want a person who drinks, kind of like, at all. No smoking either. Cleans and Cooks because I'm not doing that by myself.
I want a std test done before they even think about touching me, I'll do one to obvi.
I'm also not going to do anything s*xual with the person for at least 4 or 5 months. If the person is not willing to make me comfortable in that aspect than absolutely not.
Has a stable job or is working towards getting one with school or a trade 75k+. (I live in nyc the cost of living is incredibly high, I do not want to have to support us both.) Financially responsible, smart and can kill bugs for me.
Liberal
Funny, kind, calm, level-headed, thoughtful and preferably into a really nerdy hobby. I need to be able to hold a convo with you and I need to know you actually have some type of hobby.
Physical standards...honestly vary, I've dated a lot of different body types so 🤷♀️.
Yeah my relationships have rarely lasted more than a few months because the person I was with was hitting below my standards. It's usually the s*x thing 😒
