New rifle, is this normal ?

Just built this ar , took it out to the range and it ran great once i got the gas block valve dialed in, cycles good, catches the bold hold open empty. Its a rifle length gas system, it was cold and damp outside, but this looks like unburnt powder, i put 180 rounds down range, this build up doesnt seem normal in comparison to my prebuilt smith and wesson .
