Anime without a dumb main character

I’m tired of watching immature characters making reckless decisions, causing trouble, and relying on their teammates to bail them out. Can anyone recommend an anime with a smart or rational main character? Anime that I won’t get pissed at the protagonist while watching it. I’m down for anything so long as you think it’s good.
