I buy areas with Crowns not Membership.

Now before I get hated on by everyone in this sub, just hear me out…

Before I begin I just want to make perfectly clear that it is way more cost effective to pay for a membership to access all the areas etc. however, in the situation I am in, for me it’s better to buy the areas with crowns.

The reason for this is, I’ve been a long time player on and off for about 7 years now. I take BIG breaks from Wiz. For example, up until last week, I hadn’t logged in in over 2 years. Now, the reason why I still like to pay for areas with crowns is because once they are bought with crowns, I never have to pay for that area again. If I was to play more regularly, then I would consider a membership, but I now have the entirety of Arc 1 bought and paid for, this was done quite a few years ago, and for me, I haven’t spent a single cent on the game in a long time as a result as I can level new characters and alts all the way through Arc 1 for free now essentially.

I understand completely again that membership would be more financially prudent, however due to life and my tastes, playing regularly for long periods of time just can’t happen, and I hate wasting money on a one month or 3 month membership for games, only to be able to play for a few days and then have to stop.

Is there anyone else out there who does this, or anyone who understands this? Or am I just a madman (probably the latter! 😂)
