Moving - HOA Reputations

My family is moving Wake Forest from MA next year. We will purchasing a home and looking for an HOA with a pool. Are there any HOAs with a particularly good or bad reputation? Also, if you have any insight where there are families with young kids that would be great since we will be expecting. Thanks!
