What is everybody's opinion of Riot having full control of Valorant esports compared to the very lax control that many other game companies have towards their game's esports?

I wanna ask this question solely because I noticed the whole controversy with The Guard and the 5 players not being allowed to play due to some rules or some shit.

So I want to ask,

What do you guys think of Riot's decision to completely control every aspect of Esports regarding both League and Valorant? Do you think it makes the esports scene better or worse long term?

Do you think if Valorant esport's system was very similar to Counter Strike's, the scene in terms of competitiveness and longevity would be healthier or worse?
