Hub refuses to make new crucial hires

Ever since January 15th, this place has gone to flames. There’s not enough preloaders whatsoever, as many have either left with the seasonals or have to be moved to other areas and the volume is still way more than it should be. Every day we have to scramble to find ways to make it happen. There’s not a choice but for supervisors to load each day and even then it’s still not enough. I am told to do impossible tasks daily, which I simply say “ok” to but just don’t do it, because it’s physically impossible. Multiple people have complained so I’ve heard to no avail. One guys been there three years, says it’s never been this bad before. It’s not like I can grievance this because it’s a corporate/management problem. They can’t keep getting away with this. I’m going to have to put in my 2 weeks. I sacrifice so much of my life to this company, I haven’t been out with my friends in months like a healthy 20 something year old should do. I’ve lost 15 pounds in 3 months. My sleep quality is terrible and I get sick every other week. Start times are 4am one day then 1am the next, explain how I can maintain a sleep schedule like that. Haven’t been to my Bible study in months, which truly was a great thing. I gave up on going to the gym, thankfully I’m forcing myself to go again but at this point I’m back at square one with that. I sacrifice all this to a company that just treats their employees like garbage. Never should have started working here, I have a college degree and I just need to rely on getting a better job with that pathway. Job market sucked when I graduated and was oversaturated. This was my back up plan, to work in the hub and be an agent during the day. You know what though I bet I’d have found my job and been on track with my original plan if I didn’t sacrifice so much of my energy, mentally and physically, to this place over the past several months.

TLDR: company is greedy and doesn’t care about their workers. They need to consider their values and realize money is a worldly temporary desire, how about we focus on the meaningful things like the quality of life of employees.
