How is Marvel Rivals on controllers?

I heard its not great, but I want to hear opinions from a place that is not inherently biased against using controllers in a pvp shooter. Is it suboptimal but still viable to use, or is it so woefully inferior to MnK that I shouldnt even bother playing the game in the first place?
