Responding to this guy.

Since mods locked the post from comments, thought I'd make a separate post to respond to this guy (check the image if you don't know who I'm talking about). Also please be if you're going to comment about this guy, please be respectful. He is expressing his opinion and I'm simply responding to his post with facts and things that I know. Please feel free correct me if I'm wrong about anything.

To start off, he talks about how SoundMap pushes the option to buy premium in front of non-premium players. I will agree, it certainly was annoying when I didn't have premium, but this can be justified by the fact that not many ads appear in SoundMap in the first place. Every ad is entirely optional and does not affect gameplay whatsoever. You can play this game for months on end and only see like 20 ads, which compared to other free mobile games is insanely low. And aside from the fact that premium has 3x radius, the game isn't exactly pay to win either which is why they have to push premium a lot. Like I said it's annoying but justifiable to an extent.

He also mentioned that "Podair doesn't give two shits about the players" to which I would like to respond that he does. A few months ago, this was the case, but now Podair is actually listening to the player base. Many of the recent things that they've added to SoundMap (Including: Vaulting playlists, preset trade notes, gem history, epic check, Online/offline indicators, shiny quests, bringing back skip animation, battery improvements, removing timers for pulling shinies and epics, etc.) were all requested by the player base. In fact: he even responded to my suggestion saying that he thought it was "fire idea" and that they were going to try to do it, even though they'd never done before (I'll attach a picture, if you're interested.) Podair has also stated a few times that it is not himself that creates the odds for shinies and epics, it is the devs, and that (apparently) he doesn't have much contact with the devs.

Something I will agree with however, is the android state of the game. I'm not an android player, but I know a few android players who have constant issues with the game. I hope this is something they are trying to fix as it seems the game is only tested on IOS versions.

But in short: SoundMap is a free always online game that requires lots of money to run. If you look into how much servers cost to run, you will see it is quite a lot (according to my research, something as simple as a Minecraft server with a few thousand people would cost about $6000 a month to run), especially for a game with hundreds of thousands of people active everyday. So don't be surprised when they pull every trick in their ass to make money, they need it. I'm just glad that Podair and the devs are finally listening to the players.

Also sorry if this was too long, I feel like i just needed to get the point across. Also, please correct me if I am wrong, I'm sure I messed up here somewhere with the info.
