Do you headcanon some characters as being a certain human-analogue ethnicities?

I've encountered a Tumblr post about some Sonic characters being culturally coded, however I can't really find it. So I wanna ask everyone whether or not they think of some characters as certain ethnicities, preferably one they're a part of.

For example: as a Turk, I can't help but headcanon Silver as a Middle Easterner/at least culturally Muslim, and this is entirely due to him being the main adversary of Iblis (and Ifrit). This goes double for countries who are Mediterranean or those that have significant immigrant populations in Europe. Since Turkey ticks both of these boxes, I've adopted him as an honorary Turk and decided to have his within-future storyline have many references to Middle Eastern folklore.
