does the world know it is a cult?

that’s something that always gets me. we do see some outside people like Devon, Rickey, their friends, the anti severance movement and everything and their thoughts about lumon itself. we do know it is already a controversial company and it has quite some fields we’re it has a role, such as technology and health.

but what do people know about kier other than he was lumon’s founder? do they know he is a messiah like figure for the workers or the world doesn’t have any ideia about that? do we have any evidence about any outsider knowing about the cult part of the company or is this all part of their secret? I genuinely can’t remember if we have any nods to that in the show
