Getting Permanent Residency while holding a Secret clearance

I work for a government contractor and currently hold a Secret clearance. I got engaged to a foreign national in her country (A LatAm country with good relations with the US) in January of 2024 and we married in her country in July of 2024. All of this has been reported to my Security Officer.

I am currently going through the process of bringing her to the states on a spousal visa, and was told by my lawyer that the likelihood of her visa getting approved would improve if we demonstrated financial commitments (a mortgage, lease or bank accounts) in both our names. In her country, I cannot own property with her or open up a joint account unless I get permanent residency. I have toyed with the idea of getting it if for no other reason than to open a joint account with her or buy a cheap apartment. I am unsure though if doing so would put my clearance at risk. I would of course report that to my Security officer, but before I start moving in that direction, I was curious to see if anyone on here is in or was in a similar situation that could give their insight.

I have explored opening a joint account with her here, but it seems I can't get her name on an account because she doesn't have an SSN.
