Is there any way to identify the Battery in a Pixel 4a without having to open it?
Hello,
I am one of the people with an affected Pixel 4a. I'm handicapped and there is no Google Repair Partner within 150km. I also do not like the newer Pixel Phones. Therefore I opted for the 50$ cash.
Imo the only real alternatives to a Pixel 4a are either the Samsung S23, S24, S25 or the Zenfone 10. Since the Zenfone will go EoL much earlier I got myself a S25, sent in my Pixel and basicly paid nothing for it thanks to extending my Contract.
While this sounds nice and dandy there's a probem. I HATE the S25 now that I have it. I was expecting a Software mess but not this gigantic pile of a mess. Also, while on paper its dimensions are close to the 4a, it's feels super heavy and its way bulkier, especially when using a case, which is basicly a must thank to the gigantic camera bumps.
So long story short, I'm absolutely considering going back to a Pixel 4a again. However, I'm not willing to go through the Battery drama again. So is there a way to tell if a Pixel has a Battery from ATL (the good one) or LSN (the bad one) built in? Or is there an App that shows it? I've read the articles but I'm not sure if I missed it or if there simply is no way to tell without opening the Phone.
