Why Is Divorce Opposed?
It's a genuine question that I have. I simply want to know, why the Philippines as a majority, seems so opposed to divorce? I see politics, and citizens cite Catholic/Religious views as to why divorce should remain illegal. But that argument makes no sense to me. Because how can people, use their religion to ban something like divorce, but then openly encourage and support transgenderism and gay rights?
It's illegal for a Filipina who is beaten and abused by her husband to get a divorce, but its legal for "ladyboys" to be openly gay in public. I don't have a problem with the LGBT community, that's not what I'm arguing here. What I'm arguing is that it's unreasonable to use your belief, religion, the Bible, to ban something, but then you permit/allow other things that your religion is against as well.
It's hypocrisy.
Especially considering the Bible DOES allow for divorce, under very specific circumstances.
