Why does it matter

So I 32 f just had a lot of men unfriend me on PlayStation after adding me because I wasn't able to play on my account so I gave them my husband's gamertag and a lot of them unfriended me or stopped responding after finding out I'm married. Is this typical logic when playing on PlayStation because as far as I knew it's a video game console so why does my relationship status matter?
