Borderline Malignant Tumor

Hello. I (35F) have a history of borderline malignant tumors on my ovaries. In 2018 I had my left ovary removed due to a large cyst that was diagnosed as an atypical poliferative tumor of Mullerian epithelial origin (syn. Seromucinous tumor of borderline malignancy). I haven’t had any issues until my most recent pregnancy when they found another growth during my c-section. The tumor was removed (with my remaining ovary intact) and the pathology came back as a serous papillary tumor of borderline malignancy (stage pT1a). My oncologist is recommending a oophorectomy/hysterectomy as treatment, but I do not know if I want to go forward with this plan.

My question is: does anyone else have a history of borderline malignant tumors that waited to have the bilateral oophorectomy? If you waited, did it turn into something malignant? If you didn’t wait, were you able to go on hormone replacement? Any personal stories would be greatly appreciated!

TL/DR: Has anyone waited to have a bilateral oophorectomy after a diagnosis of borderline malignant tumors?
