December haul - delayed due to LA wildfire displacement 😢

Wanted to share my pickups that I snagged in December. Planned to post this in early January but never had the chance since I was promptly evacuated due to the Eaton Fire near my home in Pasadena/Altadena.

I had the extraordinary luck of having the fire avoid my home and my 30+ year-old comic collection.

I look at my books now with a newfound sense of joy but also sadness knowing how many people lost collections they loved – comics, records, Blu-rays, books, art, Vintage clothing and more… The number of stories I’ve heard of lost collections is so tragic 😢

As collectors of physical media we always run the risk of losing what we love, so this is just a reminder to not only cherish the actual items, but to truly internalize the happiness they bring us because you’ll never know when it might be taken from you ♥️
