Keanu Reeves me some help please

My questions are so basic that I can't find answers to them. This sub has so much information here that it is overwhelming and intimidating.

I can't find the link that said, "you can start with your smart phone." I started reading it and lost where I found the link. I was hoping that would start me out.

If you start with only your smart phone, do you need other software to edit? Where would I find reviews for that software? Is any of it free to start?

I watch YouTube videos and it seems some of them have features that PowerPoint features in them like slide in and slide out. Are they using PowerPoint or are those features in other video software?

Is it good or bad to practice on a YouTube channel other than the channel you want to be as good as you can get?
