If not controlled, Nepal will face a serious challenge from Eastern Nepal due to ethnic radicalization.

This post isn't meant to attack any community but raise attention and question the radicalization happening to certain ethnicities in the name of identity politics, mostly people from Rai Limbu community.

I can't be the only one noticing it, the Nepali internet space is filled with radicalized views and opinions from people belonging to Kirat community about their identity which involves all sorts of misinformation, twisted version of history, blame, divisive and conspiracy theories. And this torrent of hate against Khas people and Hindus.

Facebook comments, reels and TikTok, it's the same bullshit everywhere. You can't escape it.

You'll rarely or never see a Tharu, Madhesi, Dalits, Magars, Newar, khas or even Muslims showing such radicalized behavior, making such comments and posts despite them making significant portion of the population in this country. It's almost always someone from the said community.

Obviously, it's few people, not all but the pattern and intensity of radicalization in such a small community is too big to not notice.

The intellectuals, educated class and scholars from the community need to step up to control the radicalization that's been going on, through education and awareness. Because if things continue like this, it will be damaging for the community themselves. This will create more confusion and eventual conflict even within the community themselves.

Ethnic conflict will be the last blow to existence of this country.
