There is a TLDR at the bottom for you to read if you don't want to read the whole thing, but please read either and share your opinion is the comment because he isn't ready to listen to mine.

They met in Grade 11. At first, they didn’t like each other, but over time, she developed feelings for him. He caught on to her subtle hints, and by the middle of Grade 11, they were together. One day, he saved Rs. 250 from his lunch money to buy her a promise ring, vowing to replace it with a real one someday. She loved it, and we were all happy for them.

Years later, while pursuing their bachelor's degrees, their college organized a two-day tour to Pokhara for Rs. 5,000. She came from a wealthy family, while his father, though a manager, couldn’t afford the trip fee at that moment. He skipped the tour but encouraged her to go since she wanted to. She went with her friends.

When she returned, he noticed her promise ring was missing. She admitted to throwing it away but couldn’t give a valid reason. Heartbroken, he cried in front of us all. Her response? “Oh honey, don’t overreact. It was just a Rs. 250 ring from Daraz, not gold or diamonds.”

Before the tour, their love had always seemed strong, but after, she changed. Her priorities shifted, and it felt like she no longer valued him as she used to.

I told him to leave her. So did my friends, his friends, and even hers. But he refuses to listen to any of us.

TLDR: They met in Grade 11, fell in love, and he gifted her a Rs. 250 promise ring, bought by saving his lunch money. Years later, during their bachelor's, she went on a college trip to Pokhara, and when she returned, she admitted to throwing the ring away, dismissing it as cheap. Heartbroken, he cried, but she showed no remorse. Her behavior changed after the trip, prioritizing wealth over love, and everyone—friends on both sides—urged him to leave her. Yet, he refuses to let go. If there’s no future with her, he needs to stop wasting his time.
