What should I need to know about steroids?

To get started, I’ve had MS for almost 6 years now I am only 20 and right now. I’m having an attack on my coordination on my left side and left hands I just did an MRI and compared to the one I did two years ago my MS attacked me very hard so my doctor decided I should get on steroids. This is my first time ever. I’d like to know how about should I go about what to expect? I forgot to mention the steroids are pills not iv I didn’t want to take the IV. Can some of you guys please reach out to me because I feel like my world is ending.
