Dice totals

How do y'all get so many dice?

I got up to maybe 1500 one time but blew that trying to un-gold lock myself in the last album (I have since learned this was stupid and won't be doing it again).

Is there a secret to it? Is it all just cheats/cheating? Obviously I know you can buy dice as well but I'm only wanting to hear from people who don't spend on dice.

I would love to get this partner event finished, and find some great partners for it, but I can't do anything without more dice. Right now I have to wait for them to regenerate which is NOT going to get me through the partner event
