Job Summary:
Join Shannex as a Recreation Programmer at the new Moody Hall Enhanced Care facility in Bedford, Nova Scotia. This role is vital in fostering meaningful connections and enhancing the wellness of residents through engaging recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with residents and families to assess engagement in meaningful activities across six dimensions of wellness: Physical, Social, Intellectual, Vocational, Emotional, and Spiritual. - Assist residents in achieving their wellness goals and define strategies for success. - Develop, analyze, and review individualized and community-wide programs. - Foster partnerships with local businesses and community groups for program development. - Evaluate programming to ensure it meets residents' needs and expectations. - Collaborate with the Recreation team to create a comprehensive wellness programming plan. - Oversee orientation for new residents regarding recreation services and available activities. - Manage Recreation services for special functions, ensuring organization and cost efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in recreation or a related discipline. - Passion for creative arts such as music therapy, art therapy, or artistic expression. - Experience in programming and planning for seniors in a recreational environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Proficient computer skills. - Current, valid CPR and First Aid Certification, and Safe Food Handler's Course. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of a Class G Driver's License is an asset.

Salary and Benefits:
- Approximate Hourly Wage: $23.71 - $24.11
