How do you make history Flashcards??

So the method I've been using to make my flashcards hasn't worked for history but only for, 'science' subjects.

The spec isn't useful as it's very vague.

I was thinking about using those history revision guides to summarise a topic and then make flashcards which cover everything I've summarised.

Context: I do edexcel history medicine, the cold war, early Elizabethan England and the USA
