Wife denied both life insurance and medical insurance coverage in the same week. (A RANT)

Just need to publicly rant the irony of my wife being denied life insurance and medical insurance coverage in the same week.

She has been suffering from chronic nerve pain and all other medical interventions have failed (they will not do any future surgeries, physical therapy can't be done on this area, common medications have no effect outside just pounding opioids which terrifies both of us).

One final avenue was to try nerve blocking shots to try and reset the nerve. ATM this is the only remaining medical avenue that has been presented to us outside just doing opioids until death (she pretty much can't leave the bed without them).

Today our insurance denied that treatment as "not medically necessary".

I find this particularly ironic as this week a life insurance provider also denied covering her completely because of her "alarming weight loss, high frequency trips to the ER, and prescription to norco".

So, apparently she is too sick for life insurance, but not sick enough for health insurance coverage.

Oh, but the one thing they all agree on is that she get off the opioids. Everyone is sure to mention that... We would love to you fucks.

TLDR:

BTW for those interested she is suffering from "abdominal/bowel adhesion disease" Basically scar tissue adheres to and bands around nerves/organs/intestines and causes chronic immense pain. Surgery often makes it worse.

So I guess if anyone has any suggestions for treatment I'm all ears.
