I find it weird how the movies tried to humanize Griffith (Berserk rant)

I've been told before the director's of the movie was a Griffith sympathizer. Idk how true it is so I'm not gonna use it as evidence. But I still find it weird how the movies seem to change his sex scene with Charlotte and the assault of Casca.

For starters, in the manga, although Charlotte arguably consents to Griffith, it's VERY clear that he would've slept with her regardless if she did and was EXTREMELY forceful. The 1997 anime adaption removes any ambiguity and he outright SA her. But in the movies? They add a scene where he starts to back off and she pulls his hand back onto her. It feels weird because Griffith slept with her to feel powerful/dominance, why would he care about her consent?

And for Casca's scene, the manga and original anime need no explanation. But the movies changing it from him forcefully kissing her (used his fingers to force her mouth open and kiss her) to Casca WILLINGLY kissing him back? And some the... weird shots of Casca's body during the scene. The scene doesn't hit the same as the manga or even 1997 anime.

Tldr; the movies seemed like they still wanted Griffith to be sympathetic to an extent even after his corruption
