Purchasing, renting, or professional cleaners?
So I've recently gone down a rabbit hole of Reddit threads on this topic and it's hard to gather a general consensus. I've seen it mentioned that the residential carpet cleaners are trash even at the $250 range with life expectancies of only 4-5 years. These include units like Bissell, hoover, and shark. The next price range is like what you'd rent such as a rug doctor or Bissell big green pro. Purchasing these new they are around $500. Concerns listed by professional cleaners is that these units leave too much moisture in the carpet/subfloors. Mostly this would be used to clean carpet tile in an office and possibly for home use with pets. I know with cat urine especially enzyme reactants/cleaners are required and have used them in the past when a cat had kidney failure. I'd like to purchase something that is going to last more than just 5 years but isn't going to cost thousands of dollars like the portables professional carpet cleaners have. I'd love to hear any advice on the topic and would greatly appreciate any brands/models to look into more. Thanks again for any help in advance!
