Why do Indians don't wear perfume in general, especially we boys ?

I had my exam today , I live in a coastal region so its hot generally . I wear perfume but the thing is after the exam the whole boys bag room was smelling like some sort of pig house. (Now don't bash me I am an Indian too). And now I get it why we are trolled for body odor.
